This magazine is about more than just showing attractive designs of things or topics. It is about cultural contrast and mutual respect.

DISTINTO is a magazine publication aimed at raising awareness and contrasting media from Japan and Spain, providing professionals with creative work, whether in graphic design, illustration, media, cooking, fashion or environmental issues.

With the objective of developing an editorial from scratch, the page layout, typography and distribution of information were designed for both Spanish and Japanese audiences.


By carefully formatting the file templates to reflect each culture, the magazine has an index on each side, meaning it can be read from both sides; from left to right, reflecting the Western style; and from right to left, following the Japanese style of book and magazine publishing.
